Central State University Celebrates Friends, Family and Football

Central State University welcomes over 20k alumni, students, friends and families to campus for reunions, tailgating, the parade, and the Homecoming football game the weekend of October 12.

The biggest Homecoming celebration in the Midwest returns to Central State. This year’s theme: Celebrating the Strength of Our University, pulls from Central State University’s moniker, CSU.

Central State celebrates with 20 events and a full weekend of festivities headlined by CSU’s football game against UNC’s Pembrooke at the McPherson Memorial Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.. On Friday night, Oct. 12, Central State will host a Wine Down Meet and Greet 7 to 10 p.m. This year’s event will take place at the Marriott at University of Dayton.

All the pageantry of Homecoming will be on full display, with the Homecoming parade as a traditional focal point. The parade begins at 11 a.m. with a new route this year.
