Ladies Revealed: Locations in ...And Ladies of the Club

XENIA – The Greene County Ohio Historical Society, 74 West Church St, invites the public to its next gathering on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 7 PM. Catherine Wilson, Executive Director, will present her ideas of what may have inspired descriptions for the fictional “Waynesboro” in Helen Hooven Santmyer's giant novel ...And Ladies of the Club. Miss Santmyer became famous in 1984 with the mass publication of this book, when she was nearing 90 years of age. She became a member of the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame in 1996, and is buried at Woodland Cemetery in Xenia.

Everyone is welcome to this free event, whether you have read the book or not; light refreshments are served.
