Xenia to Kick-Off Fourth Neighborhood Night Out May 15th
The City of Xenia is scheduled to kick-off its popular “Neighborhood Night Out” event Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Shawnee Elementary School, 92 E. Ankeney Mill Road, in Xenia. “Neighborhood Night Out” is an outdoor information program spearheaded by Xenia allowing city administrators and vital community partners to casually interact with Xenia residents in various neighborhoods over hot dogs, snacks, music and fun.
“We look forward to greeting residents over music and food as we kickoff our fourth season of Neighborhood Night Out programs at Shawnee Elementary School. Our staff and other community resource partners will share updates about things going on in the City overall and hope to hear directly from residents about any concerns they may have in their immediate neighborhoods,” said Xenia City Manager Brent Merriman.
Other cooperative Neighborhood Night Out partners include Xenia Community Schools, Greene Memorial Hospital, the Charles Young Buffalo Soldier National Monument, Kroger, Central State University, Ohio Means Jobs-Greene County, Greene County Department of Job and Family Services, Greene County Children Services, Xenia Bouncy Castle and Greene County Public Health.
Future Neighborhood Night Out events are scheduled for Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Arrowood Elementary School, 1588 Pawnee Drive, Xenia, and Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Cox Elementary School, 506 Dayton Avenue, Xenia. Both events will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
