100 Companies, Grad Schools Recruiting at Cedarville Career Fair

One of the largest career fairs in Greene County will take place Wednesday, Feb. 21, as Cedarville University will host more than 100 companies and organizations in Doden Field House. The event is from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

Among the organizations seeking employees at the fair will be the FBI, Honda, Dayton Children’s Hospital, Mercy Health, the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Answers in Genesis and Reynolds & Reynolds.

Also, there will be several graduate schools and seminaries at the fair, including Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, Capital University Law School and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

“There is tremendous value in attending the career fair as a student,” said Ken Rucker, associate director of career services at Cedarville. “It’s a great way to build confidence, network, gather information about a particular industry and secure an interview, internship, or job opportunity.”

Those attending the fair can take advantage of Cedarville’s career services’ many resources leading up to the career fair. These include workshops on interviewing, job searching and internships, networking and resume writing.

In addition to workshops, Rucker recommends all students attend the fair, regardless of year or major, and talk with as many representatives as possible. Students should have their resume approved by the career services office, dress professionally and research companies of interest ahead of time.

A complete list of companies and organizations registered for the career fair can be found at https://www.cedarville.edu/Offices/Career/Career-Fair.aspx
