Part-Time Financial Assistant Needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with QuickBooks, Servant Keeper, and/or similar bookkeeping/accounting software preferred.
- Minimum 2 years prior experience is required.
- Must be able to pass a Federal and State background check, along with fingerprinting.
- Must be able to maintain confidential church staff and membership information.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the General Ledger and balance month-end accounts.
- Maintain accounting office files.
- Generate timely and accurate church financial reports (Charge Conference, etc.).
- Enter weekly giving into computer database. Create and distribute annual giving statements to members.
- Assign and maintain Purchase Order records.
- Process weekly accounts payable.
- Secures second signature on checks.
- Attend weekly Staff meetings.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to Senior Pastor and Pastor Relations/Human Resources Team.
- Coordinates time off and work schedule with the Senior Pastor.
- Coordinates financial activities with Treasurer/Accountant.
Hours: Approximately 20 to 25 hours/week. Schedule per staff requirements.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
