Non-Profit Community Café Seeking to Partner with Local Businesses to Further Impact the City of Xenia

To pay it forward is our motto here at one bistro. It’s a simple way to pay a little extra in order to bless someone else…someone you may not know or may never even meet. And, we are looking for other businesses and organizations to partner with us in our mission to provide a place where our neighbors eat and come together as one community.

There is such a great need all over the Miami Valley, but especially in Xenia as we see it firsthand every day. As such, we hope to partner with other businesses and organizations to see if they would like to collaborate with us and our valued volunteers in our pay it forward concept of helping others with a hand up, and not a hand out. We believe we can elevate our community with every person in which we can pay it forward.

Currently, an individual will volunteer at one bistro as a means of payment for a meal. They may work an hour or two of their time, and in turn, we will bless them will a healthy meal. But really, it’s more than just a meal. We give these individuals hope and friendship and a sense of community. However, our challenge is that we have more volunteers than we have available jobs or tasks that need to be completed on a daily basis.

So, here is where other businesses and organizations can play a part in making a difference. Are there any opportunities in which you are in need of some extra help? A specific job for an hour or two, manual labor or even temporary work through the holiday season? Our volunteers could help at your business, in return for their meal at one bistro.
