XHS Band Boosters Plans “Zombie Apocalypse: Attack of the Marching Dead” Event In October

A game of tag and flag football…all rolled into one exciting game!

The Xenia Band Boosters has a new name for their annual Zombie event: Zombie Apocalypse: Attack of the Marching Dead. The Booster members describe the fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, October 14 from 6-8pm at Doug Adams Stadium in Xenia, as a “game of tag and flag football...all rolled into one, exciting event”.

The members of the marching band and color guard make up the Zombies, while those participating try their best to make it to 4 safe zones while keeping their 3 tags in place around their waist. If they make it back to the starting point with any of their tags left, they are known as “Survivors”. If their tags are gone, they are known as part of the “Zombie Hoard”. There will be a prize for the winning individual and winning team.

The cost to participate is $5 per person by 10/1/17; $10 per person after 10/1, including day of event. Teams of 10 or more receive a discounted rate of $3 per person when registering together as a team.

A registration form can be found on the event page of the same name on Facebook: Zombie Apocalypse: Attack of the Marching Dead or just click the image below. The Boosters are looking for food trucks, a DJ, and other sponsors to help with the event and all proceeds support the various band programs at Xenia High School, including the Marching Buccaneers, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and more.
