Volunteers Needed

First Fridays, the family friendly community event held the first Friday of each month, May - July, in downtown Xenia from 5-9pm, is now recruiting volunteers for its upcoming July event.  First Fridays Co-Coordinator Blair Davis says, “Volunteers make invaluable contributions to our events and it is only with this support that makes the events possible. Volunteering is a chance to meet and work with like-minded people, be part of the team, and enjoy the unique festival atmosphere.”

There are several other opportunities that cater to a wide range of ability levels, including staffing the First Fridays Information Booth, being a Floating Friend walking the festival helping to ensure things run smoothly, directing traffic as a Road Crew member and Site Operations Crew that assist with set-up, clean-up, or running attractions. Volunteers work in shifts, and in most cases teams or pairs, so that they still have the opportunity to enjoy the festival themselves. All volunteers will be trained prior to starting and receive support during each event from First Fridays’ Committee members and staff. Dress is casual and volunteers will be provided with First Fridays t-shirts to wear.
