Roberta Shiverdecker Guest Speaker at the July 6th WIB Luncheon

We will be having Roberta Shiverdecker as our guest speaker at the July 6th Women In Business Luncheon.

The luncheon will be catered by Sweets Boutique with a Italian menu, taking place at the Xenia YMCA, 135 E. Church St. The deadline for reservations is noon Monday, July 3rd .

Roberta Shiverdecker, Manager Hygiene Pantry for the 365 Day of Caring, an organization that supplies food and help to the local food banks and shelters. One of their goals is to increase personal awareness and involvement toward confronting the ever-increasing national plight of hunger and homelessness. They raise some of their monies through the Pancake Brunch program with help from many businesses and churches in the area.

Roberta is manager of the Hygiene pantry gathering personal items and cleaning supplies that are so essential to many of us but cannot be purchased with food stamps so Day of Caring helps that gap.

• We are asking all the participants to bring some hygiene products to donate to the Day of Caring Hygiene Pantry. Here are some ideas; Shampoo, Deodorant, Dental Hygiene Products, Feminine hygiene products, Baby Wipes, Shaving cream, Brushes/Combs, Band-aids, Diapers, Washing Liquid

July we are extending our invitation to surrounding chambers - Jamestown, Beavercreek, Fairborn, Bellbrook and Yellow Springs.

Women in Business meets the first Thursday of every month at 11:30 for lunch it is open for Women and Men. The buffet is $12 for those who register by noon the Wednesday before the meeting.
