This year's Caesar Ford Summer Fest headliner, The Marshall Tucker Band is a multi-platinum-selling group from South Carolina that helped establish the Southern Rock genre in the early 1970s. Celebrating their 50th Anniversary tour this year, McGuffey Lane is proud to bring their signature American Rock sound to central Ohio where the band got its start and quickly became a fan favorite. With over 50k Facebook followers, Logan Rush has opened for names like The Kentucky Headhunters and Jamey Johnson. Check out his music on your favorite streaming platform! Caesar Ford Campground is OPEN!

With 12 full-hookup camping sites, picnic shelter, and shower house, Caesar Ford Campground is your newest opportunity in the area to unplug, get back to nature, and sleep under the stars! This Class A campground sits directly adjacent to the Xenia-Jamestown Connector Bike Path, one of the five spokes in the hub of the Miami Valley Trails Network – the largest paved trails network in the country! The campground is located about 30 minutes from Dayton, and just over an hour from Columbus and Cincinnati. Plan your visit today!

 

Greene Trails Cycling Classic is back!

August 22–24

Fairgrounds Recreation Center • 210 Fairground Rd., Xenia

Gather up your cycling friends and join the GCP&T Trail Sentinel team for a 3-day adventure. All rides will start at Fairgrounds Recreation Center in Xenia. On Thursday, we’ll head to Miamisburg Riverfront Park with stops along the way at several metroparks. Total ride will be approximately 60 miles. On Friday, riders will choose between a Century ride and a Metric Century ride – both in Spoke & Hub style. Shorter routes will also be available if you prefer. On Saturday, we’ll travel approximately 50 miles to Taylorsville Metropark, visiting Beavercreek Station, Eastwood Metropark, and Riverscape Metropark along the way. We’ll end the event with a special ride celebration dinner. Get more info and register now!

 

Backyard Cruise-In and Swap Meet – free event!

Saturday, June 22 • 3-7 p.m.

Whether you are a classic car owner or enthusiast, this event is for YOU! Join the GCP&T Ranger Division for the first Cruise-In of the summer. Bring out the classic cars, trucks, bikes, and all the family for an evening of fun as we fill the park with oldies music, laughter, food, friendship and more. This is FREE to attend and each car that participants will be eligible for great door prizes.

 

World of Imagination: How to Catch a Unicorn – free event!

Wednesday, June 26 • 10-11 a.m.
Russ Nature Reserve • 2380 Kemp Rd., Beavercreek

This program is geared to kiddos 2-5 years old. The world around you can be anything you would like for it to be...if you just use your imagination! We will be hosting story time followed by imaginative play in the Lovely Nature Playscape. Bring along a blanket or some chairs, a snack, and of course, your imagination. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in costumes or creative clothing. This program will be cancelled for bad weather.

 
Firefly Party – free event!
Friday, July 5 • 8:30-10 p.m.
Russ Nature Reserve • 2380 Kemp Rd., Beavercreek
What could be more enchanting than an evening filled with the glittering flashes of fireflies? Bring the family out to catch fireflies, make firefly crafts, follow the glow trail, play games, and learn cool facts. Bring a flashlight, wear bug spray and bring an insect net if you have one. Some nets will be available to borrow. You do not need to arrive at 8:30, but please arrive no later than 9:30 p.m. to allow time to enjoy all that the program has to offer.
