Storybook Village

Ohio Village

Welcome to Storybook Village, where your favorite storybook characters magically come to life! Bring your little ones to meet celebrated characters from popular fairy tales as they roam Ohio Village and interact with visitors. You’ll also get the chance to meet some of your favorite characters from famous television shows and children’s stories!

Advance ticketing required. Members only enjoy free admission and may reserve early access tickets.

Juneteenth–Jubilee Day Festival

Ohio Village

Noon–4 p.m. 

 

Join us for an 1890s Juneteenth observation in Ohio Village! Now a federal holiday, Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Featured activities will include historical interpretations, storytelling and dance. 

This event is free and open to the public, though advance registration is strongly recommended.

Also check out Juneteenth ON THE AVE, an event put on in partnership with local organizations, including our site Poindexter Village.

Site Event Spotlight– Art & Architecture Tour of the Hayes Home

Hayes Presidential Library & Museums 
Mon., June 3 
1:30–2 p.m. 

 

New this summer, we’re offering special tours of the historic Hayes Home focusing on the home’s art and architecture. This tour tells story of the paintings and other artwork that adorn the Hayes Home and the home’s Victorian architecture. 

Tickets purchased to these tours include a site pass that offers a regular, one-hour tour of the Hayes Home and a self-guided tour of the museum.
Please note: only Hayes Presidential Members may receive a member discount ticket.

 

Ohio History Connection Annual Meeting: Midsummer on the Terrace 


Ohio History Center

5–9:30 p.m. 
 

Join us for an evening of fun and facts as we celebrate Ohio’s only World Heritage site, the Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks. We’ll kick off the evening with news and updates for members, followed by a series of talks on World Heritage from a tribal perspective, and we’ll conclude with a sunset garden party. Come enjoy a great evening, for and with history fans! 

This event is free for members & $25 for nonmembers. Drinks will be available for purchase at the cash bar. Member tickets include one complimentary drink ticket.
