The Mall at Fairfield Commons Brings Holiday Cheer Through Family-Friendly Events and Activities

The Mall at Fairfield Commons is helping Beavercreek community shoppers get into the holiday spirit with Santa’s Arrival, Toys for Tots, Sensitive Santa, Paws and Claus, Meet the Grinch, and Brunch with Buddy the Elf.

“We are excited to bring back our guests’ most-loved holiday events and activities to The Mall at Fairfield Commons to help provide a memorable shopping experience this season,” said General Manager Leanne Rubosky. “Santa Claus will take center stage, with plenty of opportunities for kids and families to interact in-person. From Santa’s Arrival to Meet the Grinch with Beavercreek Police Department, we look forward to being a spot to make holiday memories. And, thanks to our diverse mix of retailers, The Mall at Fairfield Commons is the ‘one stop shop’ to find everything on your holiday gift list.”

The holiday season will kick off with a parade to welcome Santa to The Mall at Fairfield Commons on Friday, November 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The parade will take place near Center Court at the Main Entrance near Basil’s on Market and will include live music, a reindeer petting zoo, desserts, hot chocolate, a balloon twister and crafts. After the parade, families are encouraged to visit Kris Kringle himself for the perfect holiday photo opportunity. Guests will have the opportunity to donate a new unwrapped toy for our annual Toys for Tots collection during the event, and through December 5.

Photos with Santa will be available from Thursday, November 17 through Christmas Eve. Guests can save time this holiday season and reserve their photo time slot in advance. Walk-ins are also welcome. Guests will have the opportunity to donate to a new unwrapped toy for our annual Toys for Tots collection during the event and through December 5.

The Mall at Fairfield Commons will be participating in our annual Toys for Tots toy donation drive from November 1 - December 5, with boxes located in The Armed Forces Hub, Macy's Court, the Food Court near the Security office, Melt Bar & Grill and Santa's Winter Wonderland located in Center Court. The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the local community.
Melt Bar & Grill will be offering a special Black Friday Brunch from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a special appearance by Buddy the Elf from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Melt Bar & Grill will be offering a 20% discount to guests who bring in a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Sensitive Santa®, held on Sunday, December 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., provides a sensory-friendly experience that welcomes guests with sensory sensitivities to enjoy a magical morning with Santa before regular center activities begin. Sensitive Santa will include healthy snacks, alternative seating options for photos with Santa, crafts and puzzles sponsored by Therapy Connections, and a visit from 4Paws for Ability. Advance registration is required and can be made at mallatfairfieldcommons.com. Guests will have the opportunity to donate to Autism Speaks during the event.

Four-legged friends will take center stage at Paws & Claus on Monday, December 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Santa’s Winter Wonderland located in Center Court. In addition to the opportunity to snap a photo of your furry friends with Santa, pets will enjoy toy giveaways and more. Guests will have the opportunity to donate to a new unwrapped toy for our annual Toys for Tots collection during the event.

Come help the "Mean One's Heart Grow" with the Beavercreek Police Department at The Mall at Fairfield Commons on Thursday, December 15 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Friday, December 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Families will enjoy Meeting the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who, free raffles, crafts, games, a selfie station, a balloon twister, and face painter.
