| After 30 years of working as a mental health professional, I am convinced that the only way to fully prevent and treat addiction is by ensuring that basic human needs are met. Things like food and shelter are certainly important, but also necessary is the ability to feel safe, accepted, needed and appreciated. How exciting that a place where people can get all of these needs met in healthy ways is being created right here in the Miami Valley! Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative will certainly be a blessing to all who enter, as well as a model for the rest of the world. |
