BWC offers PERRP preparedness course for public employers.

Attention Public Employers.  BWC’s Division of Safety & Hygiene has a new virtual training course created and taught by Public Employment Risk Reduction Program (PERRP) staff. High Hazard Focus Four inspections: Be Prepared When PERRP Shows Up at Your Doorstep is a course designed to serve the needs of public employers. Below are a few items students are expected to learn during this half-day course.

Students will learn:
• An overview of PERRP.
• PERRP injury and illness recordkeeping requirements.
• PERRP inspection procedures and how these affect you as a public employer or public employee.
• PERRP standards and requirements at your worksites regarding confined space, trenching and excavation, tree work, and work zones.
• Common standards cited and solutions for abatement for confined space, trenching and excavation, tree work, and work zones.
