Tarija Hubbard is a Greene County native who attended the esteemed Wilberforce University (undergrad) and Antioch University (graduate degree.) Her work experience includes Directorship at Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley and Chief Operating Officer at Wesley Community Center in Dayton, Ohio. Tarija is a proud 2017 graduate of The Dayton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Dayton Program.

In 2012, she founded Girls Rule! A non-profit mentoring group that cultivated the esteem of young women. Years later, in 2019, New Beginnings Group Home was born. The compassion that Tarija held for young women was catapulted into a 24/7 residential group home that provides a safe, nurturing environment for young women that are in the custody of Children Services. New Beginnings welcomed it’s first resident in October of 2020 and has seen a total of 11 young women to date.

Tarija has been blessed with the opportunity to serve in the social services realm for over 20 years and prays to serve for decades to come.
