CSU Marketplace Holds Mobile Market on December 14, 2021
WILBERFORCE, OH – The Central State University (CSU) Community Marketplace will be held 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, in the parking lot of the Ward Center on the CSU campus, located at 1400 Brush Row Rd., Wilberforce.
The community marketplace was temporarily closed on the CSU campus in 2020 as result of COVID-19 safety guidelines.
The marketplace is free to all CSU students, staff and community residents, says CSU Extension Agriculture/Natural Resources Associate Clare Thorn. “All food is free,” she adds, “and we will not require proof of income. Our staff will ask all participants requesting food to complete an Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) Eligibility to Take Food Home form upon arrival.”
Participants need to bring their own bags or boxes for food items. Social distancing and masks are required to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The community marketplace mobile market will be open on the CSU campus the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., she adds.
“The Mobile Market is provided by the Dayton Foodbank, whose sponsors include United Way, Kroger, Human Services of Montgomery County and USDA,” Thorn says.
