The Mall at Fairfield Commons welcomes Holiday Season with Full Sleigh of Winter Activities

Activities incorporate local organizations and community members to celebrate the holidays together

The Mall at Fairfield Commons is ready to shine for the holiday season. With a full list of holiday activities lined up, friends and families can celebrate the season in their own unique style whether that’s sipping cocoa or parading around with Santa.

“The holidays are an important time for our community to gather, celebrate our loved ones and share gratitude,” said Leanne Rubosky, General Manager at The Mall at Fairfield Commons. “We are proud to offer events and activities that bring people together to ignite the spirit of the season, while also supporting our local small businesses.”

The Mall at Fairfield Commons festivities include:

Santa’s Arrival and Annual Wreath Lighting
The Mall at Fairfield Commons will celebrate Santa’s Arrival to kick-off the holiday season. On Friday, Nov. 19 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Santa will activate the big switch to light the large wreath at the main entrance. The event will also feature live music, cookies and hot chocolate, balloon twisters and plenty of holiday cheer to go around. Guests are invited to visit with Santa after the wreath lighting until 8 p.m.; photos with Santa will be available for purchase.

Photos with Santa:
Photos with Santa will be available from Nov. 19 through Christmas Eve. Guests can save time this holiday season and reserve their photo time slot in advance. Walk-ins are also welcome. A full list of Santa Photo Hours and a link to reserve your spot can be found by visiting mallatfairfieldcommons.com.

KIDX Club® Holiday Crafts:
With all the fun happening around the holiday season, it’s important to keep our minds growing too. Kids can enjoy making holiday crafts to celebrate the joyous season during the KIDX Club® Holiday Krafts events located near the Santa set. On December 6-8 from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m., The Mall at Fairfield Commons will host special holiday crafts for families to enjoy and treasure for years to come.

Sensitive Santa®:
For children on the autism spectrum and those with related sensory sensitivities, a Santa visit can often mean crowded spaces, long lines and a swirl of competing noise that can create an overstimulating and upsetting environment. Sensitive Santa® provides a magical experience for guests and is hosted before the town center opens. Santa has been especially trained and takes cues from parents and caregivers in order to meet each child’s individual needs. Sensitive Santa will take place on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. and will include crafts with Therapy Connections, puzzles, and a visit from 4Paws for Ability. Advance registration is required and can be made here.

Paws & Claus:
The Mall at Fairifield Commons wants to make sure our furry friends get everything on their holiday lists this year. Dog and cat owners are invited to mix and mingle as they get their favorite pet’s photos taken with Santa at Paws & Claus on Monday, Dec. 13 from 6 p.m. – 8 pm. Pets will enjoy pet play areas, toy giveaways, and more.

Santa’s Stories:
There is magic in the holiday season—especially when Santa and Mrs. Claus come to town. On Thursday, Dec. 9 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m., The Mall at Fairfield Commons invites families with children to hear a story from Mrs. Claus, pass on their wish list and get a photo with Santa. Each child in attendance will receive a free holiday book, snack and craft to enjoy at home.

Holiday Gift Guides:
Need a little help choosing gifts for the people in your life? The Mall at Fairfield Commons will be sharing gift guides for kids, beauty junkies, and gift suggestions for treating yourself. Gather inspiration and shop from the comfort of your own home from Nov. 29 through Dec. 24 by following The Mall at Fairfield Commons on Instagram.

Guests visiting The Mall at Fairfield Commons can scan the QR code found at an on-site Coca-Cola vending machine to enter the promotion for a chance to win prizes.
