Bluegrass Concert Set for Oct. 16 at Caesar Ford Park
Caesar Ford Park to host Backyard Jamboree
Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers will be bringing their bluegrass tunes to Caesar Ford Park in Xenia on Saturday, Oct. 16, for the Greene County Parks & Trails’ Backyard Jamboree. This is a free concert, so tickets are not required.
Gates open at 1 p.m. with the concert expected to run from 2-4 p.m.
Led by banjo-playing bluegrass veteran Joe Mullins, the band includes an abundance of instrumental and vocal talent with Jason Barie on fiddle, Jeff Parker on mandolin and vocals, Adam McIntosh on guitar and vocals and Randy Barnes on upright bass and vocals. The award-winning band has a number of trophies in their case, including the 2018 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Award for “Song of the Year” for their hit “If I’d Have Wrote That Song.”
There will be no concessions during this event, so guests are allowed to bring outside food and drink. However, alcohol is not permitted. Chairs are not needed as the amphitheater provides plenty of stadium-style seating.
Caesar Ford Park is located at 520 S. Stringtown Rd., Xenia.
