Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce Appoints Donna Saraga As New President/CEO

Xenia, OH (July 2021) - The Board of Directors of the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Donna Saraga has been appointed the new President/CEO of the Chamber. An experienced community leader, Mrs. Saraga will succeed Mr. Alan Liming and assume responsibilities on July 1, 2021.

Mr. Liming has led the Chamber as President/CEO for over 11 years and before that was on the Chamber’s Board of Directors as a business owner/member. Under his dedicated leadership, the chamber built on its strengths, developed new relationships, and strengthened the Chamber’s financial stability. He will remain on staff for a period of time as consultant as the chamber has not been able to hold any of its regularly scheduled events and fundraisers due to COVID-19. “Alan strengthen and maintained the Chamber fiscally throughout his tenure, including this past year when COVID could have had devastating effects on a small organization like this,” said Matthew Bennett, (Anderson-Williamson Insurance) current President of the XACC Board of Directors. “We appreciate all he has done, not just for the chamber but for the businesses it supports.”

Mrs. Saraga has been serving as the Administrative Assistant at the Chamber office during the pandemic. Before that she was with Greene Memorial Hospital and Soin Medical Center / Kettering Health Network for over 20 years in a variety of roles, the last being Community Relations Coordinator for both hospitals.  “Donna is no stranger to chamber life and knows Xenia and Greene County very well,” stated Bennett. “We are excited for Donna to begin to bring her ideas and enthusiasm to the Xenia Chamber.

“I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to lead the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce as its next President/CEO,” Saraga said. “The Chamber is poised to really develop its mission. I look forward to working with this board and making a positive difference for Xenia and its business community.”

Saraga was awarded a master’s degree from Miami University in Oxford. She, her husband John, and son Andrew have lived in Xenia for over 25 years. She also serves as President of the newly formed Xenia Community Improvement Corporation which is working with the City of Xenia to improve and develop the downtown area including Xenia Towne Square.
