First Fridays Seeks Volunteers

First Fridays, the family friendly community event held the first Friday of each month, May - July, in downtown Xenia from 5-9pm, is now recruiting volunteers for its 2017 season. Event dates this year are May 5th, June 2nd, July 7th.  First Fridays Co-Coordinator Blair Davis says, “Volunteers make invaluable contributions to our events and it is only with this support that makes the events possible. Volunteering is a chance to meet and work with like-minded people, be part of the team, and enjoy the unique festival atmosphere.”

Xenia First Fridays are looking for three volunteers for the positions of Vendor Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator and Silent Auction Coordinator. These individuals should be goal oriented, have great attention to detail, excellent phone manners and work in a professional manner. If interested in these positions, or if you have any questions in regards to these positions please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. There are several other opportunities that cater to a wide range of ability levels, including staffing the First Fridays Information Booth, being a Floating Friend walking the festival helping to ensure things run smoothly, and Site Operations Crew that assist with set-up, clean-up, or running attractions. Volunteers work in shifts, and in most cases teams or pairs, so that they still have the opportunity to enjoy the festival themselves. All volunteers will be trained prior to starting and receive support during each event from First Fridays’ Committee members and staff. Dress is casual and volunteers will be provided with First Fridays t-shirts to wear.

Applications, as well as a complete list of volunteer opportunities and job descriptions for each, can be found at xeniafirstfridays.com
