It’s time to celebrate! While still overcoming challenges we never dreamed of over a year ago, Spring is here and we CAN safely enjoy live entertainment outdoors. For the first time since 2019, a concert event will fill Xenia, Ohio’s Shawnee Park Pavilion, and we can all come together and share in the celebration.

FRIDAY, MAY 7, The NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS SPRING CELEBRATION will feature Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, the 2019 International Bluegrass Music Association Entertainers of The Year. The band is releasing a new recording beginning that day, available worldwide from Billy Blue Records of Nashville, TN. Somewhere Beyond The Blue is a new album of gospel songs, the band’s third release of all sacred music since 2010 and their 9th studio album in 15 years. The FREE performance will feature songs from the new project along with plenty of JMRR favorites from other award-winning recordings.

YOU are invited and while the event is FREE, we request that you bring a NON-PERISHABLE FOOD DONATION. Many area food pantries have worked overtime this past year resulting in low inventory readily available. We ask everyone to bring a canned or boxed food donation of any amount to help replenish resources. A volunteer crew from Xenia Nazarene Church will be on hand to accept those food items for distribution.

The concert will begin at 6:30pm ET at Shawnee Park Pavilion located at 591 South Park Drive, Xenia, OH. Werner’s Smokehouse Barbecue will be on site with their famous food truck to offer delicious food and soft drinks. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Social distancing will be observed in the pavilion and throughout the park which offers acres of safe, comfortable space.
