Leadership Change at Miami Valley Hospital South
Last month, Joann Ringer was named the chief administrative officer for Premier Health, a newly created position that will oversee several existing revenue growth initiatives and partnerships. This role is designed to help lead and support Premier Health’s strategic plan that has focused emphasis in these areas. Joann is leaving a proven track record of success, most notably leading the opening of Miami Valley Hospital South in 2007, Centerville’s largest employer.
With this change in leadership at the South campus, Premier Health also announced the appointment of Marquita Turner RN, BSN, CEN, MBA, to chief operating officer of Miami Valley Hospital South. As the chief operating officer, Turner is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations with an emphasis on strategic growth of services for the southern region. She has extensive administrative experience along with her clinical background in nursing. During her time at Atrium Medical Center she developed a track record of improving relationships between service providers, reducing staff turnover, and enhancing quality outcomes which led to Atrium Medical Center being named a TOP 100 Hospital by U.S. News and World Report.
Marquita earned a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Miami University. She and her husband have two adult children. Marquita is excited to join the Miami Valley Hospital South team and to serve Xenia and surrounding communities.
