Greene County Announces Major Change to CARES Small Businesses Grant Program
Beginning September 21, 2020 the CARES Grant for Greene County Small Businesses will start accepting applications from businesses that previously received Payroll Protection Program (PPP) assistance. The CARES Grant for Greene County Small Businesses application is now available online. Applications will be processed on a first come-first served basis until funds are depleted, or October 30, 2020, whichever is first.
The Greene County Department of Development is distributing financial assistance in the form of a grant to aid small businesses in Greene County with relief from the COVID-19 crisis. This grant is aimed at small businesses that were interrupted through required closures, voluntary closures to promote social distancing, or that were impacted by decreased customer demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The application period will close on October 30, 2020, or when the funds are depleted, whichever comes first. The applicant must be a small business with 50 or fewer total employees.
