Sidewalk Ghost Tour to be Conducted by Historical Society
On three Saturdays in 2020 (September 26, October 3 and 10), Mike Haley, Greene County Historical Society board member, will conduct a ghost walk on North King St. in Xenia. The tour will start at the Historical Society complex at 6:00 PM each of these evenings. It is a fundraiser for the Society, at $10 per person, with a limit of 12 persons per tour.
The walk will include nine houses on North King Street, addressing the paranormal goings-on at each home. Attendees will be able to enter at least two of the homes, the Trebein-Flynn home and the Samuel Patterson home, to go over events in detail. Discussion about the other seven homes will take place on the front sidewalks. All the activity we will discuss has been taken from interviews personally gathered from the homeowners.
Most of the tour takes place outdoors; however, masks will be required inside the Historical Society and individual homes. Social distancing between family groups is requested.
Reservations are required for this tour. Size of the groups is limited, so please call the Greene County Historical Society at 937-372-4606 or come into the office at 74 West Church St. during open hours (12-4 PM on Tuesday and Thursday & 12-3:30 PM on Saturday). Credit card payments can be taken over the phone or in person; checks and cash also accepted.
