GCPH Releases Guidance for Greene County Schools AND Requesting Donations of Hand-Sewn Facial Coverings (Masks)
Greene County Public Health (GCPH) officials just released their reopening plan for Greene County Schools for the 2020-2021 school year. The plan can be found on the website at www.gcph.info or click here for the document, as well as the agency’s social media platforms.
The plan includes:
- general guidelines on reopening and what schools should consider
- daily symptom assessment
- a plan for schools to follow and steps to take in the event of a positive case, including how it should be communicated to families
- cleaning and sanitizing
- water systems
- classroom occupancy
- food service
- visitors/volunteers
- restricted activities
- a listing of helpful resources for schools to use
- a sample letter that the school can modify to send home to families in the event of a positive case.
Public Health Requesting Donations of Hand-Sewn Facial Coverings (Masks)
Due to COVID-19, officials at Greene County Public Health (GCPH) are asking for additional donations of hand-sewn facial coverings, or masks, to help keep our community and students and administrators heading back to school soon healthy and safe throughout the continued COVID-19 response.
GCPH will serve as a “clearinghouse” to ensure they have what they need. If you or someone you know is making face masks, please encourage them to donate a supply to GCPH.
