After 23 years of service, City of Xenia finance employee Dennis Evans retires
Finance employee Dennis Evans is retiring from the City of Xenia after 23 years of service.
Dennis is a graduate of Cedarville High School and pursued his higher education at Wright State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Dennis has spent most of his career serving the City of Xenia citizens as a Finance Clerk responsible for assisting customers with utility services and filing income tax returns.
Dennis’s knowledge and experience in utility billing and income tax played a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the department. In 15 years in the tax department, he became the City’s resident expert in business tax returns, and in his willingness to assist, he routinely volunteered for those tasks that many would view as less desirable.
Finance Director Ryan Duke stated, “Dennis contributed a great deal to our organization and community. His tremendous work ethic, diligence, thoughtfulness, and commitment to serve will be sorely missed.”
The City would like to commend Dennis and thank him for his years of dedication and service. We wish him an enjoyable retirement and best wishes in his future endeavors.
