Xenia selected as semi-finalist city for reality TV show ‘Small Business Revolution'

Six-thousand cities across the country were nominated for the chance to be featured on the reality TV show ‘Small Business Revolution’, and Xenia has been selected as a top-10 semi-finalist city.

Small Business Revolution Xenia

The reality show is an original series by Deluxe Corporation, a company that describes itself as a “proud champion of small business since 1915.” The show is in its fifth season and is hosted by brand marketer Amanda Brinkman, who is also the show’s creator and executive producer. Ty Pennington, best known for his work as a host for ‘Trading Spaces’ and ‘Extreme Home Makeover’ also hosts the show. ‘Small Business Revolution’ airs on Prime and Hulu.

A team with the show will visit Xenia in early December to tour the city and meet with business and city leaders. After each top-10 city has been visited, the team narrows the finalists down and the public will then vote to determine the winner.

The top prize is $500,000, which ‘Small Business Revolution’ awards to a handful of businesses of its choosing. The money is used to help the businesses in various ways, from marketing to improvement of facilities.

Benicia, CA, Bisbee, AZ, Brunswick, GA, Fredonia, NY, Livingston, MT, Oregon City, OR, Spearfish, SD, The Dalles, OR and Waseca, MN are the other semi-finalist cities.
