Xenia Area of Chamber Presents "Healthy Employees: Equals a Productive Workplace" Luncheon Seminar
With national studies proving that healthy employees are more productive and save businesses money, the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce (XACC) is sponsoring a luncheon seminar "Healthy Employees: Equals a Productive Workplace" from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, oct. 30, at the Xenia YMCA in the new Reach Center, 336 Progress Dr., Xenia.
Presenter Kim Sheehan, who has worked for the YMCA of Greater Dayton for 15 years both in Aquatics and Health and Wellness, is both a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor. Currently, she is the Senior Health and Wellness director at the Xenia YMCA. Sheehan supervises the Health and Wellness department, senior programming, as well as exempt staff for Aquatics.
During the seminar, Sheehan will cover the importance of wellness in the workplace, including:
- Sharing statistics on workplace health
- How health effects productivity and culture
- Different wellness options for the workplace
- Plus tips and tricks for employees
The seminar is FREE for XACC Members and $25 for non-XACC members. Participants can purchase a boxed lunch for $8 from Sweets Boutique or “brown bag” it. Registrations are required and attendees must be registered by Oct. 25.
