What if deciding where to eat for lunch also involved deciding how you can make a difference right here in Xenia?

Today food insecurity affects more than 40 million individuals in the United States. This means that 1 in 8 households have difficulty providing enough food for all members. #NationalEverybodyEatsWeek seeks to bring attention to local community efforts to ensure food security and dignity for all regardless of financial means while empowering everybody to feel welcome at the table. It is a nationally coordinated campaign dedicated to building community and helping consumers understand the power they have in ending hunger in their own neighborhood.

One Bistro is a nonprofit pay-what-you-can café located in Xenia, Ohio. It is affiliated with the One World Everybody Eats community café network. Here, diners determine what to pay based on what they can afford. And those who can, are asked to pay-it-forward to help our neighbors in need.

One Bistro will join nearly 50 nonprofit cafes across the country for National Everybody Eats Week from August 25th - August 31st, 2019. During National Everybody Eats Week, One Bistro will be open additional hours for several special events. Stay tuned for more details!

One Bistro encourages all Xenia and surrounding residents to come for a meal during National Everybody Eats Week. Or, consider donating online at onebistro.org to help a neighbor in need. We envision the support of local businesses, churches and many other groups to grow the movement in Xenia and beyond!
