The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance for ages 18+

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance for ages 18+ will be held at Xenia Community Library on Mon., Apr. 1, 8, 15, from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Wed., Apr. 3, 10, from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and Fri., Apr. 5, 12, from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) staff will start preparing tax return in the 1st floor meeting room of our library. The VITA Xenia Community Library site will continue to be a walk-in site. If you would like to have the VITA staff assist you at the Xenia Community Library, you must bring in the follow documentation, with no exceptions, when coming to our site: Social Security cards for everyone in the family; Photo ID for the taxpayer and spouse; a current Ohio’s Driver’s License or employer ID cards with a photo, military ID, state ID card, or passport. Driver’s License is preferred; all W-2 forms for 2018 as well as Social Security statements (1099-SSA, 1099-MISC forms if self-employed, and any other source if income. If you have a health savings account (HSA), you must have your 1099-SA form if you took money out of the account last year. If you have a brokerage account, you must wait for your 1099-B forms which come out as late as March. If you have insurance through the marketplace (ACA or Obamacare), you must bring your 1095-A form; lastly, bring last year’s tax return forms.
