Greene County Parks & Trails Hosts Ohio’s Vanishing Birds Field Trip

Ohio’s Vanishing Birds Field Trip hosted by Greene County Parks & Trails

Join a Greene County Parks & Trails naturalist from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 23, departing from the Narrows Reserve, 2575 Indian Ripple Rd., Xenia, for a field trip focusing on Ohio’s vanishing birds.

Twenty percent of bird species listed an endangered or threatened live in fields, meadows or prairies. During the field trip, participants will search for rare birds such as the Lark and Henslow Sparrow, Blue Grosbeak and Bobolink around Greene County and in the greater-Columbus area.

Cost is $24, Greene County resident; and $30, non-resident; pre-registration is required before June 23.
