Greene County Parks & Trails host “Breakfast and a Dance” to search for woodcocks
Join a naturalist as participants search for the woodcock with his distinctive call from 7 to 8 a.m., , Saturday, March 17, at Cemex Reserve, 1100 Sanctuary Dr., Fairborn.
Each spring, the American Woodcock does a mating ritual at dawn and dusk to attract a female. Join a park naturalist for a hot beverage and doughnut as participants learn how to identify the American Woodcock, its life history, cool facts, calls and sounds.
The hike is free to all participants. Please dress for the weather.
