Greene County Parks & Trails Host 'Greene County and the Underground Railroad'

All Aboard:  Greene County Parks & Trails highlights Underground Railroad history

The woods and ravines of Greene County Parks & Trails’ (GCP&T) Indian Mound Reserve will be filled with riders on the Underground Railroad when Greene County Parks & Trails hosts Greene County and the Underground Railroad from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at Indian Mound Reserve/Williamson Mound, 2750 US 42 E., Cedarville.

Participants will hike along the trails to reenact a fugitive slave’s journey that they may have travelled in Greene County during the interactive play program.  Program participants will learn where in Greene County the Underground Railroad existed and what cities played an important role.

Cost is $10, Greene County resident; $15, non-resident.  Children attending s must be in fifth grade or older. Pre-registration ends on Nov. 1.
