Pioneer Harvest Meal Prepared and Served by Greene County Parks & Trails
Prepare roast venison, johnny cakes and fresh cider over an open fire during Greene County Parks & Trails’ Pioneer Harvest Meal from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 21, at Indian Mound Reserve, 2750 US 42 E., Cedarville.
Participants will actually taste Ohio history as they prepare and dine on the open fire meal served with fresh apple cider. Folktales and ghost stories will be shared around the fire; participants will receive a pioneer cookbook to take home.
Cost is $15, Greene County resident; $20, non-resident. Pre-registration is required by Oct. 13.
