Greene County Parks & Trails Spring Bird Count

Join Greene County Parks & Trails (GCP&T) for a Spring Bird Count from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, May 4, at varying park locations.

Join a GCP&T naturalist for the day’s search that may include both familiar and rare species. The search will begin at 6:30 a.m. at the Narrows Reserve, 2575 Indian Ripple Rd., Xenia. GCP&T naturalists will also be posting live Facebook videos throughout the day on the Greene County Parks & Trails site.

Participants may join the group at any time; call a naturalist directly at 937.971.9319 to determine the birding group’s location.

In 2018, 90 species were spotted during the bird count.

The program is free; open to those 11 years and older.
