Greene County Parks & Trails will host a seminar focusing on monarch butterflies and their reliance on milkweed in the environment beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 6, at the Narrows Reserve Nature Center, 2575 Indian Ripple Rd., Beavercreek.
Participants will learn more about pollinators and how to support their populations within their own backyard.
Monarch butterfly populations are declining rapidly with about a 50 percent decrease in numbers during the past five years.
Cost for the program is $7,Greene County resident; $10, non-resident.
