Greene County Parks & Trails Hosts Search for the American Woodcock

Greene County Parks & Trails host Breakfast and a Dance to search for woodcock.

Join a naturalist as participants search for the woodcock with his distinctive call beginning at 6 a.m.,  Saturday, March 18, at Cemex Reserve, 1100 Sanctuary Dr., Fairborn.

Each spring, the American Woodcock does a mating ritual at dawn and dusk to attract a female.  Join a park naturalist for a hot beverage and doughnut as participants learn how to identify the American Woodcock, its life history, cool facts, calls and sounds.

The hike is free to all participants; donations are accepted.  Please dress for the weather.
